In this episode of Playing Yourself, we discuss the similarities and differences between the classic board game Scrabble and the popular mobile game Words with Friends. We look at both the merits and deficiencies of each game and whether or not they can be considered substitutes. We also look at the differences in the convenience of playing the two games and how the leisure and mobility of Words with Friends may be worth sacrificing of the physical and traditional board game components of Scrabble. Ultimately, we find that both games have their merits and that even though they may be similar, they still both have their own value in the market.
